As a Senior Cloud Security Consultant focused on Microsoft Purview, you will take ownership of designing and deploying comprehensive data security frameworks for clients. Your work will center on building robust information protection strategies, including sensitivity labeling, encryption policies, and automated classification systems tailored to organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deploy data loss prevention policies across Microsoft 365 and endpoint environments, aligned with client policies and operational workflows.
- Develop retention strategies based on legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations using Purview’s governance tools.
- Collaborate with internal and client-side teams to define data handling requirements and implement scalable compliance solutions.
- Evaluate compliance posture by leveraging Purview’s monitoring and reporting features to reduce exposure to privacy risks.
- Establish data governance best practices and contribute to internal knowledge sharing through training and technical guidance.
- Support business development by engaging in pre-sales discussions and solution scoping.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to peers on Purview capabilities and data protection methodologies.
Qualifications
- Citizenship in a NATO member country is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience with Microsoft cloud platforms, including at least two years focused on Microsoft Purview.
- Proven ability to configure and manage Purview integrations with Microsoft 365 security services such as Defender for Cloud Apps and Defender for Endpoint.
- Strong grasp of data privacy laws including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, with practical experience applying them in cloud environments.
- Fluency in English and at least one official Belgian language, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
