BioMar is hiring a Senior BI Architect

Shape the future of data at a global level

As Senior BI Architect, you will lead the design and continuous improvement of a modern, enterprise-scale data and business intelligence platform. You’ll own the end-to-end architecture, ensuring it supports self-service analytics, advanced data modeling, and emerging AI capabilities across international operations.

You’ll define technical standards for data integration, ETL workflows, and BI development while ensuring governance, security, and scalability are embedded across the data lifecycle. Your work will empower teams to access trusted, transparent data—backed by clear documentation and consistent practices.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, evolution, and governance of a global BI and data architecture
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions
  • Collaborate with data engineers, IT teams, and business leaders to align architecture with strategic goals
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data modeling, deployment, and reporting standards
  • Support a culture of self-service analytics through intuitive tools and robust platform design

What We're Looking For

You bring deep experience in enterprise BI architecture and hands-on development, with a strong foundation in cloud-based data platforms—preferably within Azure environments. You communicate clearly across technical and business domains, and you’re comfortable challenging assumptions to drive better outcomes.

  • Minimum of 5 years in BI architecture, consulting, or a comparable technical leadership role
  • Proven ability to design and manage full lifecycle data solutions from source to insight
  • Experience with SQL-based data warehousing and modern analytics tools such as Tableau
  • Familiarity with Azure data services and scalable cloud architectures
  • Exposure to frameworks like the Inspari Toolkit is a plus
  • Global collaboration experience in multicultural settings is valued
  • Background supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives is an advantage

Why This Role Matters

You’ll hold real architectural responsibility in an organization where data is a strategic asset. You’ll work across borders, influence long-term direction, and help define how data is used to drive decisions—today and in the future. This is a hands-on role with the freedom to innovate and the platform to make an impact.

Work mode is onsite based in Aarhus, Denmark, with approximately 20–30 travel days annually. The environment is international, purpose-driven, and committed to building modern, sustainable data capabilities.
