Deel is hiring a Reports Engineer (SQL Server/SSRS)

Responsibilities

  • Fosters exceptional customer service by building and maintaining strong relationships with internal clients and adhering to company values, standards, and processes.
  • Protects the organization's information security assets by understanding and committing to security protocols.
  • Identifies and implements cost-saving measures and efficiencies within the area of responsibility.
  • Enhances professional skills by participating in educational opportunities, reading industry publications, and engaging with professional networks.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements and determine the best approach for data extraction and presentation.
  • Designs and develops reports using tools such as SSRS and DevExpress, and writes SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
  • Optimizes report performance by identifying and resolving data retrieval and processing bottlenecks, and implementing best practices for efficient execution.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure reports meet business needs and provide technical support as needed.
  • Conducts thorough testing of reports to ensure accuracy and reliability, and troubleshoots and resolves any issues identified during testing or production use.

Requirements

  • Proficient in SQL Server, including stored procedures, views, functions, and table design.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within given timelines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
  • Effective communication skills in a team setting.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C# or VB.NET.
