At RoomPriceGenie, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong background in Python Data Engineering. You will lead a team developing innovative reporting and analytics solutions for our customers, combining technical leadership with hands-on contribution.
What You'll Do
- Manage a team of data, backend, and frontend engineers to create innovative solutions for customer reporting & analytics.
- Cultivate a strong engineering organization and vibrant development culture.
- Partner closely with a Product Manager and UI/UX Designer from conception to post-deployment.
- Work closely with the CTO and other Engineering Managers to shape how we work.
- Spend up to 50% of your time coding and shaping technical direction.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional development experience with Python Data Engineering.
- 1-2+ years managing an engineering team, including 1on1s, performance reviews, overseeing projects, and technical coaching & mentoring.
- Strong understanding of architectural and software design principles that drive quality and maintainability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High ownership mentality.
- A true team player—egoless and empathetic.
- Fluent in English.
- Based in the European Time Zone (UTC+0 / UTC+2).
Nice to Have
- Located in Mannheim, Germany.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with DataDog.
- Hands-on experience with AWS.
