Responsibilities
- Deliver database and application administration and support as needed
- Manage Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres database systems
- Handle administration tasks for enterprise applications
- Provide database and application support services
- Deploy, maintain, and support databases and associated applications
- Create standardized documentation and operational procedures
- Address and resolve recurring technical issues
- Adhere to organizational quality standards and practices
- Be available for on-call duties including evenings, weekends, and one week in every four on standby
Requirements
- Experience with Oracle 19c or later versions
- Experience with SQL Server 2019 or newer
- Database administration including upgrades, performance optimization, and backup/recovery processes
- Capability to deliver application support, updates, and management
- Understanding of underlying platform technologies
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with strong organizational skills
- Flexibility in handling varied tasks and schedules
- Adaptable approach focused on high-quality service delivery
- Effective communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Self-driven with initiative
- Eligible to obtain NPPV and Security Clearance
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Postgres 11 or higher versions
- Holding Oracle certification
- Possession of SQL Server certification
- Postgres certification is advantageous
- Proficiency in UNIX scripting
- ITIL Practitioner qualification
- Awareness of technologies beyond core responsibilities
- Knowledge of local government back-office systems

Part of a team delivering Database and Application services to Local Government, Health, and Digital clients, managing internal operations and third-party technical support providers.
