As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing operational performance at the Dumbarton Manufacturing Facility. Your focus will be on improving quality, safety, cost, and delivery by identifying opportunities across production and supply chain operations. You will lead structured problem-solving efforts, implement corrective actions, and ensure sustainable results through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate to manage production KPIs and lead initiatives that improve overall performance
- Apply systematic methods to resolve manufacturing issues and support root cause analysis
- Drive process optimization in both internal production and with subcontract suppliers
- Maintain and update CAD models, technical documentation, and work instructions using 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo
- Improve production flow and line balancing to support new product introductions and increase throughput
Qualifications and Skills
You bring practical manufacturing experience with a solid understanding of quality systems, production techniques, and Lean methodologies. Proficiency in mechanical assembly and CAD software is essential, with experience in Creo or similar 3D modeling tools preferred. You are detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, and committed to delivering high-quality, compliant work in a fast-moving environment.
A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field is desirable. Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and PFMEA is an advantage. Project management experience further strengthens your profile.
