The Boeing Company is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Platform Systems organization within Boeing Defense & Space. In this role, you will develop manufacturing plans, resolve technical problems, and implement lean principles for current and emerging Air Dominance products, including the F-15EX Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and T-7A Redhawk.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
- Lead and implement manufacturing plans.
- Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
- Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and help document best practices.
- Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
- Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.
- Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
- Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
- Implement lean principles and technologies.
- Review design requirements and approve new releases and revisions to existing designs.
- Review and implement non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.
- Translate design requirements (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to create and maintain part demand.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and technical education.
- Experience using MESci, NX / Teamcenter, and familiarity with reading 2-D drawings.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.
- Manufacturing Engineering experience on military or commercial aircraft.
