Shape the future of semiconductor inspection in a hands-on engineering role based in Japan. You'll develop and refine applications for 3D tomography using FIB-SEM technology, operating directly within customer cleanrooms to gather real-world insights and improve system performance.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct in-line metrology and inspection using FIB-SEM systems at Japanese customer sites
- Run live demonstrations with customer samples and wafers to validate application performance
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to influence product development
- Identify opportunities for technical improvements and new market applications
- Support business development and sales teams with technical expertise
- Transition after three years to a long-term role in the United States
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with SEM imaging principles and FIB-SEM instrumentation
- Background in developing new methodologies or processes in a lab or production setting
- Solid understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry
- Fluency in Japanese, both spoken and written

Work Environment
This role is initially based onsite at customer locations in Japan for three years, requiring cleanroom work and close collaboration with local teams. Following this assignment, you will relocate to a long-term position in the United States.
