You'll lead the design journey from initial concept to final production, ensuring each product delivers on both aesthetic excellence and real-world performance. What You’ll Do
- Lead product design from sketch to shelf, balancing creativity with technical and commercial feasibility
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and comprehensive Tech Packs for global manufacturing partners
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and leadership to align design with business goals
- Conduct user research, including interviews and usability testing, to inform design decisions
- Iterate designs based on customer feedback, data, and market trends
- Define CMF strategies, selecting materials and finishes that enhance comfort and durability
- Ensure design integrity is preserved throughout prototyping and mass production
- Stay current with advancements in materials, manufacturing techniques, and product innovation
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of industrial or product design experience focused on physical consumer goods
- Proven track record bringing both soft and hard goods to market at scale
- Advanced skills in 3D CAD (Rhino, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360) and rendering tools like Keyshot
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience creating prototypes using 3D printing and other hands-on methods
- Deep understanding of user-centered design and design thinking
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially in Asia
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly through visuals and writing
- Fluent English with strong collaboration skills across global teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly gross pay between $6,500 and $8,000 as an independent contractor
- Fully remote role with asynchronous flexibility and at least 3-hour overlap with team (GMT0–GMT+8)
