GE Vernova is hiring a Lead Engineer - Plant Layout and Program Integration (Remote Eligible, U.S.)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees integration of components and systems within new nuclear plant designs, ensuring optimal performance, operability, and cost efficiency.
  • Identifies verification and validation requirements across plant, system, and component levels.
  • Coordinates interfaces between technical systems, components, and project or product management teams.
  • Develops deep expertise in the field, supports best practices, monitors emerging technologies, and contributes to strategic and policy decisions.
  • Understands cross-functional best practices and market differentiation factors, including competitive landscape awareness.
  • Applies judgment to resolve moderately complex challenges in engineering, manufacturing, technology, or management, often introducing new approaches.
  • Analyzes data using technical expertise and draws from multiple internal and limited external sources to inform decisions and recommendations.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%, including domestic and international locations as needed.
  • Preferred U.S. work location is Wilmington, NC; remote candidates based in the U.S. may be considered if highly qualified.
  • Role requires access to U.S. export-controlled data; final offers depend on obtaining U.S. government authorization.
  • In Canada, only individuals legally authorized to work will be considered.
  • Position in Canada requires onsite presence in Markham office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Access to information governed by U.S. Export Control Laws is restricted to individuals with citizenship from authorized countries or those qualifying as U.S. citizens, nationals, permanent residents, or protected individuals under U.S. immigration law.
