AECOM is hiring a Lead Designer Mechanical - Wastewater/Water

Responsibilities

  • Operates with general oversight and minimal direct supervision.
  • Delivers training and technical guidance to design team members on Building Information Modeling systems that generate 3D models based on project specifications.
  • Leads project-specific design efforts and produces required drawings using established standards, ensuring components like doors, lights, and fixtures meet project needs.
  • Offers continuous technical support for all BIM software applications and collaborates closely with design personnel.
  • Collaborates with the Technology Manager to advance from conventional BIM methods toward a more unified and efficient design process.
  • Educates office leadership and operational teams on BIM tool utilization, supporting project teams early in development to align deliverables and digital plans with project objectives.
  • Produces BIM documentation for construction and bidding purposes and participates in mechanical coordination phases, including clash detection using Revit models.
  • Coaches local Revit leads, develops tailored implementation plans, and works with project teams to standardize and document effective Revit workflows and best practices.
  • Ensures consistency and quality across global offices by maintaining BIM standards and design templates.
