About the Role
The role involves owning the architecture and development of AI models, guiding best practices, and collaborating across teams to integrate intelligent features into core products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of machine learning models and AI systems
- Design scalable infrastructure for training and deploying models
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify AI use cases
- Mentor engineers in AI techniques and model optimization
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI frameworks and tools
- Ensure models meet performance, accuracy, and ethical standards
- Translate business requirements into technical AI solutions
- Oversee data pipeline design and data quality assurance
- Drive research initiatives to improve model capabilities
- Implement monitoring systems for model behavior in production
- Contribute to technical documentation and system architecture plans
- Lead code reviews and promote engineering best practices
- Work closely with data scientists to refine model training processes
- Optimize inference speed and resource usage
- Support deployment of AI features across platforms
- Identify risks related to bias, fairness, and model drift
- Develop strategies for A/B testing AI-powered features
- Maintain awareness of regulatory and compliance considerations
- Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning
- Represent the team in cross-functional planning sessions
Nice to Have
- Master’s or PhD in computer science or related discipline
- Experience leading AI teams remotely
- Published research in machine learning or AI conferences
- Knowledge of MLOps tools and practices
- Experience with large language models
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding systems
- Track record of shipping customer-facing AI features
- Understanding of privacy-preserving machine learning
