As a Junior QC Specialist in Networking Testing, you'll play a key role in ensuring online gameplay functions smoothly under real-world network conditions. Your work will focus on validating network connectivity, identifying issues related to NAT types and interoperability, and verifying that games remain stable across various setups.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate testing for online networking features, including NAT traversal and performance under different connection types
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems in test environments and networking tools
- Reproduce, document, and track bugs, providing clear reports and potential workarounds to development teams
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across one or more projects, following established procedures and raising risks when needed
- Collaborate with production, QC, and online requirements teams to share updates on project status and quality
- Create technical documentation and reports tailored to project needs
- Explore improvements to testing methods, tools, and personal expertise
What You Bring
- Proficient spoken and written English (upper intermediate or higher)
- Familiarity with software release cycles and quality assurance processes
- Understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and network configuration parameters
- Experience with packet analysis tools, Cisco networking equipment, and Linux systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and contribute within a team
- Adaptability, initiative, and openness to feedback and growth
- Willingness to work from the office several days per week
