Winona is looking for a Head of QA to lead our quality assurance strategy and team. You will define and implement testing approaches, drive test automation excellence, and integrate quality throughout the development lifecycle for our telemedicine services.
What You'll Do
- Define, implement, and continuously refine the overall testing strategy across projects.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to QA engineers.
- Design and maintain robust, scalable automated tests for web applications using WebdriverIO and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Own the architecture of the automation framework using patterns like the Page Object Model for maintainability.
- Anticipate complex testing scenarios and build resilient strategies to reduce test flakiness.
- Build and integrate API tests into automation frameworks for end-to-end coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor quality metrics for release readiness.
- Partner with engineering, product, and development leads in an Agile environment.
- Stay current with emerging QA tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
- 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with deep understanding of async patterns.
- Hands-on expertise with JS-based test automation frameworks like WebdriverIO, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Proven experience architecting scalable test automation frameworks using reusable design principles.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Axios.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and enabling teams.
