About the Role
This position leads the development and execution of quality assurance strategies across all product domains, ensuring robust, scalable, and user-centered testing practices are integrated throughout the software lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of quality assurance across all product lines
- Build and manage a team of QA engineers and automation specialists
- Define QA processes, tools, and best practices aligned with development workflows
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to integrate quality early in the development cycle
- Establish metrics to measure test coverage, defect detection, and release stability
- Drive automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and speed
- Oversee end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Mentor team members and support professional development
- Evaluate and implement new testing tools and technologies
- Work closely with DevOps to integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines
- Lead root cause analysis for critical production issues
- Promote a culture of quality across engineering teams
- Manage QA for both web and mobile platforms
- Coordinate testing efforts across distributed teams
- Develop scalable QA processes as the organization grows
- Ensure testing environments mirror production accurately
- Guide manual testing efforts where automation is not feasible
- Oversee third-party vendor testing when applicable
- Maintain documentation for test plans and results
- Support release readiness assessments
- Advocate for user experience consistency through testing
- Align QA goals with business objectives
- Respond to evolving product requirements with agile testing strategies
- Ensure accessibility and internationalization testing are included
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical or management discipline
- Experience in healthcare or similar highly regulated sector
- Certifications in software testing or quality management
- Hands-on coding experience in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Prior work in startups or high-growth companies
- Public speaking or conference presentation experience
- Contributions to open-source testing tools
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in testing
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or GDPR
- Leadership in remote-first organizations
