About the Role
Lead the end-to-end design process for digital products, building and mentoring a team of designers while establishing scalable design systems and practices that enhance user experience and product effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the design vision across all customer-facing platforms
- Build, lead, and grow a team of skilled product designers
- Establish design standards, processes, and best practices
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to solve complex user problems
- Drive user research initiatives to inform product decisions
- Champion human-centered design across the organization
- Develop and maintain a scalable design system
- Ensure consistency in look, feel, and interaction patterns across platforms
- Translate business objectives into intuitive user experiences
- Present design strategies and concepts to senior leadership
- Incorporate accessibility and inclusivity into design workflows
- Evaluate design performance using qualitative and quantitative metrics
- Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement
- Align design initiatives with customer needs and market trends
- Manage external design agencies and contractors when necessary
- Oversee the end-to-end user experience across onboarding, transactions, and support
- Integrate customer feedback into iterative design cycles
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and local regulatory standards
- Lead design sprints and collaborative workshops
- Promote design literacy across non-design teams
- Balance innovation with technical feasibility and business constraints
- Drive localization and cultural adaptation of interfaces
- Support brand consistency within product interfaces
- Optimize designs for low-bandwidth and mobile-first environments
- Mentor designers in professional development and craft excellence
