Responsibilities
- P&L responsibilities for Metallics business, achieve business objectives for revenue, profitability and market share.
- Manage all offerings through supervision of direct reports to maximize profitability and meet or exceed the business objectives.
- Acceleration of new product development and introduction is an essential element to this position. Close collaboration with R&D team is required; embrace the “two in a box” model with the Head of Metallics R&D.
- Prioritize and determine the new opportunities that are identified by the customer facing team.
- Identify new product opportunities through close collaborations with our strategic customers and OEM development partners. Work with Customer Application and Sales teams to maintain and grow these relationships.
- Develop a deep understanding of the market trends and competitive landscape (i.e., new product introductions, strategic alliances, intellectual property, etc.) that helps to further define our product differentiation and development strategy.
- Develop product pricing strategies and maintain pricing discipline to assure profitable growth for the portfolio, by leveraging understanding of the product attributes, benefits to the customer and application, and competitors’ offerings.
- Define targets for capacity, cost, and quality for major capital projects.
- Develop analytically derived market plans that are based on customer inputs, market trends, competitive intelligence as well as forecasts by industry analysts.
- Effective use of the portfolio management system to monitor and document project performance vs. milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering background or related field.
- 8+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry. Hands-on experience in product management, commercial negotiations, business planning, strategy development and execution.
- Ability to develop business cases and market plans.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree (Master or Ph.D.) in material science or chemistry and MBA is a plus.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills, especially across a matrix and global organization.

Team
Structure: Leads the Metallics Marketing Team in the Thin Films business unit. Works across a matrix of business functions supporting the Metallics business. Collaborates closely with R&D team and uses a 'two in a box' model with the Head of Metallics R&D.
Additional Information
- Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
