Alan is seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer to join our 'Everyone Can Build' crew within the Tech Foundations area. Your mission is to propel Alan into the AI-native engineering era by building tools, agents, and infrastructure that empower every contributor to build confidently and sustainably at scale.
What You'll Do
- Build Alan's own background coding agent (Hopper), including agent orchestration, parallel agent pools, and web dashboards.
- Enable AI-native engineering through Harness integration and agentic workflows.
- Develop autonomous testing infrastructure where agents validate their own work before shipping.
- Create sandboxed development environments to remove brittle local setups.
- Implement CI/CD and quality guardrails, including auto-fix, complexity scoring, and new PR review experiences.
- Build tooling for non-engineer contributions, enabling Designers, PMs, and Ops to be autonomous contributors.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in full-stack software engineering roles.
- Experience building internal platforms, frameworks, CLIs, or libraries that improve developer workflows.
- You care about creating delightful experiences, whether building UIs or APIs.
- You are fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with LLM APIs, agent orchestration frameworks, or AI-assisted coding tools is a strong plus.
