About the Role

Scopely is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the team behind Monopoly GO! You will focus on game integrity, collaborating closely with cyber-security, data engineers, product managers, and tech leadership on the mission of making the game safer and fair.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cyber-security, data engineers, product managers, and tech leadership to make the game safer and fair.
  • Work on a cross-functional team focused specifically on game integrity.
  • Drive impact on a product with over 10 million daily active users.
  • Learn and adapt to areas outside your primary expertise, such as native mobile code or new AWS services, as project needs require.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Go, C++).
  • A fundamental understanding of Unity or similar game engines.
  • Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and services like DynamoDB, Redis, and EC2.
  • A solid grasp of distributed system fundamentals, including concurrency and latency.
  • Comfort collaborating with data engineers and scientists to design data-driven solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with other disciplines like game design and product, including understanding and writing documentation.
  • Willingness to learn C#/.NET if not already experienced.

Nice to Have

  • An interest in cybersecurity, game integrity, and anti-cheat systems.

  • Unity mobile game client
  • .NET/C# back-end
  • AWS infrastructure: EC2, Memcache, DynamoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch
  • CI/CD pipeline: GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Spinakler
  • Monitoring: Datadog, Bugsnag, Kibana/OpenSearch, AWS console
