We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer to help evolve our cloud infrastructure and support a growing engineering organization. You’ll play a central role in advancing our AWS environment, migrating toward Kubernetes on EKS, and ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and reliable by design.
What You’ll Do
- Lead improvements in deployment stability and system resilience
- Modernize infrastructure by transitioning services to Kubernetes
- Design, manage, and maintain cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and Pulumi
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and enable self-service tooling for development teams
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems
- Enhance observability using tools like New Relic, Sumologic, and PagerDuty
- Ensure compliance and security are embedded in development workflows
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support critical maintenance outside standard hours when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role
- Proven experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, and EKS
- Strong scripting ability in Bash, Python, Go, or Ruby for automation tasks
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including debugging cluster issues
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Solid understanding of networking concepts: DNS, TLS, load balancing, and VPNs
- Experience integrating security and compliance into infrastructure workflows
Nice to Have
- Exposure to other cloud platforms like GCP or Azure
- Programming experience with TypeScript or Go, especially in infrastructure tooling
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases including MySQL and MongoDB
- Experience with Redis, Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DNS), or serverless platforms like AWS Lambda or GCP Cloud Functions
Work Environment
This is a remote-first role with a preference for candidates in U.S. time zones (UTC-10 to UTC-4). You’ll collaborate with a distributed team and may occasionally need to work outside regular business hours for system upgrades or critical maintenance. We emphasize sustainable work practices and balanced on-call responsibilities.
