Responsibilities
- Develop detailed aircraft interior layout drawings from written customer specifications.
- Conduct reviews with internal Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to evaluate and finalize design drawings for external customer approval.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models to support the manufacturing of exterior paint schemes.
- Create 2D drawings for flooring layouts and other various manufacturing aids.
- Create and maintain various drawings to reflect evolving Program, Customer and/or Engineering requirements.
- Assist Sales and Engineering with innovative solutions for custom requirements.
- Conduct research for information on existing drawings, hardware, vendor parts, etc. relating to job task.
- Evaluate customer requirements and provides recommendations related to the design.
- Identify problems and provides solutions to designs.
- Coordinate design work with other departments, engineers, and designers as required. in order to complete in a timely manner.
- Enforce safety rules and procedures.
- Ensure application of all Gulfstream regulations and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Bachelor's Degree Drafting, Design Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Proficient in operating CAD equipment.
- This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Nice to Have
- Experience with business aircraft cabin design and development.
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulatory requirements.
