Join a federal initiative as a BI Testing Analyst focused on ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial reporting systems. You will play a key role in validating data integrity across Power BI, SQL, and DAX environments, supporting the deployment of critical reporting tools within a large-scale government program.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with test leadership and government stakeholders to plan and execute testing for financial reports and data extracts, coordinating with external vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Refine and maintain test plans for each release, covering data lineage, cross-system reconciliation, and ELT pipeline validation
- Create and automate test scripts for core financial reports, ensuring at least half are executed using Power BI automation frameworks
- Track, document, and prioritize defects in a shared log to ensure transparency and timely resolution across teams
- Assist in preparing and delivering User Acceptance Testing materials and training for reporting components
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least four years of hands-on experience in BI testing within federal financial systems, with a focus on Momentum or similar platforms. Required expertise includes:
- Proven background in developing and running test cases, with clear documentation of results and issue tracking
- Direct experience with automated testing tools in Power BI or comparable reporting environments
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards as applied to dashboards and digital reports
- Strong analytical and communication abilities, with attention to detail in high-visibility settings
- Eligibility to obtain Public Trust clearance

- Prior work with the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Use of Agility as a test management tool
