Lead comprehensive testing initiatives for a major federal financial reporting system as a Senior BI Testing Analyst. This position plays a central role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of business intelligence outputs during a critical implementation phase. You will shape testing strategies, validate data integrity, and support user acceptance processes for a large-scale government program.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with test leads and government stakeholders to plan, prepare, and execute testing for financial reporting and data delivery components
- Refine and maintain test plans for each release, with emphasis on BI regression, data quality validation, and UAT readiness
- Create and execute test scripts for critical financial reports, ensuring at least half are automated using modern testing tools
- Coordinate with system integrators, data teams, and reporting specialists to verify end-to-end BI architecture alignment
- Supervise and mentor junior testing staff to strengthen team capabilities
- Track, prioritize, and resolve defects in collaboration with client and vendor teams
- Deliver training and support for UAT activities related to reporting and data outputs
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least eight years of experience supporting Momentum or Power BI financial reporting implementations within large federal agencies. A minimum of four years should include hands-on work with Momentum Financials or similar ERP platforms, including test execution, issue identification, and results documentation.
Proven expertise is required in full-cycle BI testing processes—covering regression planning, semantic model validation, data aggregation checks, and UAT coordination. Experience with automated testing frameworks for Power BI or comparable tools is essential. Strong analytical thinking, clear communication skills, and the ability to thrive in complex, visible environments are expected. Candidates must be eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance.
