App EWA is looking for a Middle+ Backend QA Engineer to join our team. You will perform tasks for the Billing and CRM teams, working within a friendly, transparent culture focused on product development in the EdTech space.
What You'll Do
- Perform functional testing with a primary focus on backend systems.
- Validate integrations between internal services and external systems.
- Test flows across web, mobile applications, and backend services including payments, authentication, user matching, push notifications, and messaging.
- Analyze logs and metrics using tools like Grafana and Sentry.
- Find, report, and track bugs in Jira.
- Create and maintain test documentation in Qase.io, including test cases, checklists, and test plans.
- Actively participate in the product development process.
- Contribute to discussions and improvement of QA processes and tools.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in backend testing.
- Strong knowledge of test design techniques.
- Experience testing service integrations, including asynchronous interactions with message brokers or event streams.
- Strong experience working with REST APIs.
- SQL skills, with experience in ClickHouse, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with and analyzing logs.
- Experience testing payment systems or understanding subscription flows across platforms.
- Understanding of how quality fits into different stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Responsibility, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing mobile applications and web funnels.
- Experience working with CRM domain.
- Experience working in fast-growing, consumer-focused, data-driven startups.
