Lam Research is hiring an Assembler 2 to play a vital role in our manufacturing operations. You will assemble electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical products for wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) within our lean manufacturing clean-room environment.
What You'll Do
- Use computer-based instructions, schematics, hand tools, equipment, and fixtures to assemble and install parts and hardware for wafer fabrication equipment.
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities, including rework requirements, to maintain workflow and production schedules.
- Ensure correct part delivery and perform visual inspection of components before installation.
- Contribute to audits by conducting visual inspections, verifying checklists, and performing leak checks as needed.
- Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies.
- Provide timely, clear communication to stakeholders regarding production status, tasks completed, signoffs, detailed descriptions, continuous improvement ideas, and shift pass downs.
What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years of mechanical or related assembly experience.
- An Associate's Degree, Technical Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
- Proficient use of a variety of hand tools and electronic equipment for assembly and maintenance tasks.
- Frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks, including moving parts and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to distinguish various wires by color, size, thickness, and markings.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or in the semiconductor capital equipment industry.
Work Mode
This position requires full-time work onsite at our manufacturing facility.
