About the Role

Join a global leader in coating innovation as a Quality Technician on the 2nd shift in High Point, NC. In this role, you will perform detailed laboratory analyses to verify product quality, interpret test data, and ensure compliance with established specifications. Your work will directly support manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct specialized quality control testing requiring technical judgment and analysis
  • Interpret test outcomes and apply sound reasoning to assess product conformance
  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate precision laboratory instruments
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and technology teams to align lab and plant operations
  • Support the development and review of standard operating procedures
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries about product performance and test data
  • Document results, complete reports, and ensure data accuracy in line with compliance standards
  • Recommend adjustments to formulations based on analytical findings
  • Coordinate formula updates and communicate technical details across departments

Qualifications

Candidates must be able to pass a color discrimination assessment and meet physical demands including frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position requires onsite presence with availability for overtime, including weekends as needed.

Essential skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), experience with lab instrumentation, and the ability to interpret technical data. Strong communication abilities across organizational levels are necessary.

A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field is highly preferred. Five or more years of experience in quality control, particularly in a manufacturing setting, is advantageous. Familiarity with SAP systems is a plus.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role operating on the 2nd shift with potential weekend hours.
