HomeVision is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join as the second member of our data team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 1–2 years of analyst experience or a relevant master’s degree who is eager to take on diverse projects and grow with the company. You will work across internal teams to design, build, and maintain our analytics data architecture.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain dbt models in our Redshift analytics environment.
- Ensure our data pipelines are accurate, well-documented, and scalable.
- Understand customer goals and provide tools to help them reach operational goals.
- Enhance the usability and feature set of our customer-facing reporting suite.
- Investigate and resolve data-related inquiries from clients.
- Partner closely with product, customer success, engineering, and leadership to deliver insights that drive product direction.
- Contribute to a data-driven culture by making metrics accessible and actionable.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Basic statistics knowledge.
- Experience working with data visualization or BI tools, preferably the open source Python library, Streamlit.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience or familiarity with dbt and modern ETL.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with Python.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Exposure to startup or SaaS environments.
