About the Role
The company is seeking its first AI Product Engineer to help redefine clean energy financing by co-designing AI-driven systems and processes, starting with transaction diligence, in close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to design, develop, and deploy robust AI features for clean energy financing solutions.
- Take ownership of developing the company's AI infrastructure, including model selection, integration, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Shape the process of evolving AI prototypes into scalable production systems, defining best practices for development and deployment.
- Develop full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, and SQL, focusing on performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Rapidly prototype and validate new concepts grounded in real-world customer challenges and feedback.
- Support a strong engineering culture through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and adherence to shared technical standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of professional software engineering experience with strong expertise in full-stack development using TypeScript, React, and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in building and launching AI-powered products into production environments.
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping tools and making user experience decisions for minimum viable products.
- Ability to engage directly with customers in dynamic and uncertain settings.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and inspire others.
- Inherently inquisitive, fast learner, and open to adopting emerging technologies.
- Eligible to work legally in the United States or Canada.
Nice to Have
- Deep experience in evaluating and benchmarking AI models.
- Background in developing AI agent systems.
- Experience in building engineering teams from the ground up.
- Knowledge of current AI development tools and frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.

Compensation
Mid-Career: $140,000–$170,000 USD; Senior: $160,000–$200,000 USD, plus equity, performance bonus, full benefits, and remote flexibility.

About the Role
The current clean energy financing process is slow, manual, and lacks transparency. While initial products have addressed parts of this challenge, the next phase involves expanding their scope and impact using AI. The company is hiring its first AI Product Engineer to collaborate directly with customers, product, commercial, and legal teams to reinvent transaction workflows in clean energy finance, starting with due diligence. This role goes beyond feature development — it involves co-creating the processes and systems that will define how high-quality AI products are built and delivered. Much of this framework is still undefined and will be shaped by the incoming hire.
