As a 2D Artist on the World of Warships team, you'll play a key role in defining the game's visual identity. You'll develop concept art, craft detailed illustrations, and design essential UI components such as icons, banners, medals, and feature screens. Your work will directly influence how players interact with the game, ensuring clarity, visual appeal, and historical authenticity.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the visual development of new features, from concept to implementation
- Create and refine 2D assets including backgrounds, patches, and interface elements
- Translate intricate reference material into clear, readable thumbnails and in-game visuals
- Collaborate with designers, 3D artists, and historical consultants to align art with gameplay and realism
- Optimize and integrate assets into the game engine, ensuring technical efficiency
- Use 3D tools to prototype concepts, building mid-poly models with accurate lighting and environments
- Design intuitive interface layouts with strong visual hierarchy and user flow
What We’re Looking For
- At least two years of experience in 2D art for games or interactive media
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for UI and illustration work
- Ability to adapt complex visuals into simplified, functional designs
- Experience setting up render scenes with proper lighting and environment setup
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Blender, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter for 3D concepting and texturing
- Basic sculpting and modeling skills to support concept development
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Belgrade. During the probation period, attendance in the office is required. Afterward, you may choose an onsite or hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office.
