Alliance Animal Health is hiring a Veterinary Area Manager to oversee Practice Managers and lead hospital performance across the NY/NJ area. You will collaborate with regional leadership and practice teams to implement initiatives that drive success.
What You'll Do
- Directly oversee and lead the Practice Managers at each hospital.
- Work with Practice Managers on hospital operations including staffing, inventory, budgeting, scheduling, marketing, training, and HR.
- Act as a key resource and partner to the managing veterinarian at each location, building strong relationships.
- Collaborate with the Senior Regional Manager to review financial reports and develop strategies.
- Review non-financial reports and drive plans for improvement.
- Manage the post-acquisition integration process for newly acquired clinics.
- Travel to practices 4 days per week with 1 office day (could be 5 days as needed).
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication, team-building and leadership skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage time effectively.
- 3+ years of experience managing multiple locations for a multi-site operator in the veterinary industry.
- Self-starter excited to work in an entrepreneurial environment and can take initiative.
- Strong analytical skills and experience reviewing budgets and financial statements.
- Proficient with the full suite of Microsoft Office products.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
- Must live within the NY/NJ area.

Team & Environment
You will oversee 5-6 hospitals and work with a Regional Manager, Vice President of Operations, Veterinary Partner Doctors, Practice Managers, and the Internal Operations team. You report to the Regional Manager and Vice President of Operations.

Work Mode
