About the Role
The role involves designing user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes while working closely with product managers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of design solutions into the development process.
Responsibilities
- Develop user-centered design solutions through research and analysis
- Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align design with technical feasibility
- Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations
- Define and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Translate complex workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces
- Participate in user research activities including interviews and surveys
- Document design decisions and rationale for stakeholders
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and product goals
- Ensure accessibility standards are met across all design deliverables
- Present design concepts to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Support front-end implementation with design specifications and assets
- Identify opportunities to improve user experience across platforms
- Maintain consistency in visual and interaction design patterns
- Work within agile development cycles to deliver incremental improvements
- Prioritize design tasks based on product roadmap and timelines
- Evaluate emerging design tools and methodologies for potential adoption
- Contribute to user journey mapping and service design exercises
- Align design strategy with business objectives and user needs
- Assist in onboarding new team members to design processes
- Gather and analyze user behavior data to inform design decisions
- Refine navigation structures for improved findability
- Design responsive layouts for desktop and mobile interfaces
- Collaborate on information architecture for complex applications
- Support A/B testing initiatives with design variations
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in human-computer interaction or related field
- Experience designing for government or public sector programs
- Familiarity with HIPAA or other data privacy regulations
- Background in service design or journey mapping
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
- Experience conducting moderated and unmoderated user tests
- Proficiency in motion design or prototyping tools
- Understanding of internationalization and localization principles
- Prior work in healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration
