Steer is hiring a Transportation & Commute Program Coordinator

As a Transportation & Commute Program Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in shaping how employees travel to and from worksites in Atlanta, GA, or Austin, TX. You'll manage daily transportation operations and provide remote support to the alternate location, ensuring seamless coordination across both cities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main liaison between site leadership and transportation operations, managing communication, tracking progress, and escalating issues when needed
  • Support the design and implementation of multimodal transportation initiatives such as vanpool, transit access, carpool programs, and commute coaching
  • Collect, analyze, and report on transportation data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
  • Develop data-driven recommendations to reduce parking demand and traffic congestion
  • Plan and execute on-site events including commuter fairs, bike safety workshops, and personalized commute consultations
  • Coordinate with internal teams—Parking, Facilities, EV, Bike, and Rideshare operations—as well as external partners like transit agencies and transportation management organizations
  • Stay current on local policies, regulations, and community events to align programs with broader regional goals
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, purchase orders, and budget tracking, adjusting forecasts as needed
  • Respond to employee inquiries, create communications materials, update internal web content, and contribute to new hire orientations
  • Collaborate with fellow coordinators to ensure consistent, effective programming across locations

Qualifications

You bring experience in transportation planning, facilities management, outreach, or marketing. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
