Responsibilities
- Assist with core accounting functions including account reconciliations, journal entries preparation, and detailed account analysis
- Reconcile bank statements promptly and systematically follow up on all outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly
- Prepare and distribute weekly aging reports, supplementary schedules, and financial statements in accordance with specific client requirements
- Monitor accounts receivable metrics and oversee the maintenance and investigation of AR items exceeding 30 days past due
- Serve as a point of contact to resolve vendor, client, and customer inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Review vendor statements, verify invoice coding and approvals, and maintain proper audit trails for all transactions
- Support cash management procedures to ensure optimal cash flow and financial stability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
