About the Role
This position leads the electrical integration of high-speed data center interconnect products, ensuring signal integrity, power delivery, and compliance with industry standards through cross-functional coordination and advanced design practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design and integration for high-speed optical modules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system-level integration
- Ensure signal integrity in high-bandwidth electrical interfaces
- Develop and validate power distribution networks
- Support high-volume manufacturing transitions
- Define electrical specifications for new product development
- Perform impedance and loss analysis for PCB and flex circuits
- Guide layout practices to meet high-speed performance targets
- Troubleshoot electrical issues from prototype to production
- Lead compliance testing for industry standards
- Interface with suppliers on component electrical performance
- Create test plans for electrical validation
- Analyze lab data to refine design parameters
- Mentor junior engineering staff
- Drive root cause analysis for field failures
- Optimize designs for manufacturability and testability
- Support design for reliability initiatives
- Evaluate new technologies for integration readiness
- Maintain documentation for design and test processes
- Ensure electromagnetic compatibility in system designs
- Work with mechanical teams on thermal and electrical co-design
- Support design reviews and technical gate approvals
- Develop simulation models for electrical behavior
- Apply statistical methods to improve yield
- Stay current with advancements in high-speed electrical design
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with co-packaged optics
- Background in silicon photonics
- Knowledge of PAM4 signaling
- Experience with IBIS-AMI modeling
- Familiarity with machine learning for signal analysis
- Direct experience with DCI products
