Responsibilities
- Drive design, implementation and delivery for user-visible features on Android for devices like Foldables, Tablets, etc.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, User Experience (UX), application teams and external partners to build and improve system-level windowing framework functionality.
- Design and implement new tools and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for developers in AndroidX and other API surfaces to allow creating applications for large screen and Foldable devices.
- Work with hardware product teams to ship the next generation of Google and Android devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with programming in Java or Kotlin.
- 2 years of experience in Android development.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience building applications and APIs.
- Excellent system design skills.
- Passionate about building a platform and ecosystem.
- Passionate about providing great developer and user experience.
