About the Role
The Software Engineer I will contribute to the development of a healthcare data platform by building robust backend systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features that improve clinical workflows and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Collaborate with product and design teams to understand requirements and deliver features
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing
- Debug and resolve software defects in a timely manner
- Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable systems
- Implement unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability
- Work with version control systems to manage source code
- Support deployment and monitoring of applications in production environments
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Optimize application performance and responsiveness
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into internal systems
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues as needed
- Document technical designs and implementation details
- Follow agile development practices and participate in sprint planning
- Ensure code complies with security and privacy standards
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Collaborate with QA engineers to validate feature correctness
- Support peer learning and knowledge transfer within the team
- Participate in technical discussions and decision-making processes
- Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and performance
