Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining systems critical to national security. Working within a structured yet agile environment, you'll engage in full-cycle software development—from analyzing requirements to implementing robust solutions. Your work will directly support mission-driven objectives through reliable, scalable code and integration practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate system requirements into technical designs and functional software components
- Diagnose and resolve defects in existing codebases, ensuring system reliability
- Propose and implement enhancements to both code quality and technical documentation
- Develop and maintain applications across frontend and backend platforms
- Support integration of software modules into larger system architectures
- Construct and optimize data queries to support data storage and retrieval needs
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience (4 years may substitute for degree)
- 0–6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience across both frontend and backend development environments
- Familiarity with agile development practices and team collaboration tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel as project needs arise
- Ability to work primarily in an office setting, with occasional visits to client sites or technical labs

Work Environment
This is an onsite position located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role operates within a standard office setting, with occasional travel to client locations, testing labs, or field environments as required by project demands.
