Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is hiring a Senior System Engineer (RAN Virtualization & OAM/OSS)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical specialist within a cross-functional team involving R&D, systems engineering, and product validation to support the deployment of wireless products with carrier partners.
  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of 3GPP LTE and 5G radio access network and network management technologies.
  • Lead the design and architecture of systems with a focus on OAM for network elements and integration with OSS platforms.
  • Guide team members technically to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project milestones.
  • Define product and feature requirements, including system-level performance and functional analysis.
  • Lead in-depth discussions with customers and drive the adoption of new 4G/5G RAN network management capabilities and virtualized infrastructure based on VNF and CNF architectures.
  • Evaluate customer needs, translate them into system specifications, and document detailed designs for engineering teams.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of new software and product releases to ensure features and performance meet commitments.
  • Support pre-sales activities by developing strong technical and commercial proposals that align with sales targets.
  • Bridge communication between sales and carrier network teams by explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Collaborate with internal support, logistics, and cross-functional teams across regional and headquarters locations to enable successful product launches.
  • Be available for occasional travel as required by project demands.
