Responsibilities
- Manages a store within the district and has additional responsibilities throughout the district.
- Coordinates plans and actions in the areas of people development, sales, payroll, inventory, and budgets with the District Manager.
- Utilizes and coordinates all services provided by UGG consistent with the short and long-term interests of the Company.
- Ensures the store provides the highest level of customer service possible.
- Manages staff, improves sales, and meets customer demand.
- Drives various key businesses, builds new business classifications, and develops talent throughout the district.
- Supports District Manager in identifying and interviewing potential management candidates.
- Conducts appraisals and performance management.
- Supports District Manager in building bench strength within the District.
- Hires teams who pursue passions that relate to the Company's products and philosophy.
- Mentors and provides support to Store Managers within the District.
- Manages and motivates store teams to increase sales and improve efficiencies.
- Delegates workload effectively to develop managers and meet business needs.
- Ensures all employees demonstrate the meaning and importance of customer service as outlined in Be the Brand customer Service program through observation and feedback.
- Maintains a positive customer experience and builds customer relationships.
- Promotes quality of service among staff through training and by acting as a positive role model.
- Promotes a positive work environment by recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining a respectful workplace.
- Is personally available to customers to communicate, identify needs, and address questions or concerns.
- Inspires employees so each person contributes to store productivity.
- Fosters open communication between stores and corporate business partners and departments.
- Writes performance evaluations and goal assessments for Associate Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Keyholders.
- Ensures all store associates receive reviews on schedule and documentation is sent to HR Department.
- Maintains awareness of market trends in the retail industry.
- Understands forthcoming customer initiatives.
- Monitors local competitors’ activities.
- Conducts self-audits with attention to key controls involving receiving and cash handling.
- Drives improvements as needed.
- Manages stock levels and makes key decisions about stock control.
- Supports District Manager in maintaining training standards for product and systems expertise.
- Follows and maintains merchandising standards per the Visual Standards Binder.
- Supports District Manager in managing budgeting and financial planning of stores while achieving results in own store.
- Ensures goals are met through appropriate planning and organization of staff, inventory, and expenses.
- Makes staff aware of sales goals.
- Monitors the Loss Prevention program to protect inventory and assets.
- Maintains acceptable inventory shrinkage measured as a percentage of sales.
- Takes necessary action to lower expenses if sales goals are not being met.
Requirements
- 6 years minimum of retail store management experience required
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers.
- Manual dexterity required.
- Valid Driver’s License
