Nubank is looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to help lead the architectural direction of our Global Debt Resolution platform, operating horizontally across all business areas. This is a high-influence individual contributor leadership role where you will shape both the platform and the teams that build on top of it. What You'll Do
- Define and evolve the long-term architecture for the Global Debt Resolution platform.
- Drive cross-unit collaboration and alignment across Lending, Credit Card, and Credit Platform (Core Banking), ensuring architectural alignment and smart reuse to avoid duplicated flows and inconsistent debt behaviors.
- Architect and evolve foundational systems to support multi-geo rollouts, minimizing per-country forks and enabling configuration-driven behavior over code-driven divergence.
- Act as a technical mentor and challenger for senior ICs and engineering managers, raising the bar on architectural depth, system thinking, and cross-domain collaboration.
- Balance long-term architectural thinking with hands-on support for current roadmaps, ensuring short-term delivery moves us closer to the desired target architecture.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role, defining long-term architecture for large-scale, multi-domain platforms.
- A track record of driving architectural alignment across multiple business units or product lines to reduce duplication and ensure consistency.
- Deep expertise in designing systems for international scalability, minimizing technical debt and per-market customization.
- Strong mentorship skills with the ability to elevate the technical and strategic thinking of senior engineers and engineering managers.
- The ability to translate a multi-year vision into actionable, incremental steps that align with business priorities.
