Tietoevry seeks a Senior SQL Database Administrator for its Tieto Tech Consulting team. You will work remotely, administering and supporting the Microsoft SQL Server production environment for a leading Scandinavian online supermarket client. Your role focuses on designing robust solutions and ensuring high availability and performance.
What You'll Do
- Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) in production environments
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server–based solutions, including stored procedures, views, SSIS packages, SQL Agent jobs, and replication
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backups, and performance optimization
- Handle incidents and service requests
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, development, and security teams
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in similar positions
- Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, T-SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with clustering, backup/restore, and DR scenarios
- Experience working in SLA-driven ITOPS / managed services environments (ITIL-aligned)
- Experience with monitoring tools and PowerShell automation
- Familiarity with Azure SQL / SQL on Azure VMs (hybrid environments)
- Intermediate+ level of English and a strong ownership mindset
