What You'll Do
You will take ownership of a major component of our backend platform, driving its evolution with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. You'll define technical strategy, mentor team members, and ensure engineering excellence across the development lifecycle.
Design and implement API-driven decisioning services that power real-time identity validation. Work closely with product teams to deliver features using agile methods, while maintaining rigorous testing standards and system observability.
Write clean, maintainable code and ensure robust test coverage across unit, integration, and end-to-end scenarios. You'll also participate in on-call rotations to support production systems and uphold service level agreements.
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of professional software development experience, preferably on enterprise or consumer-facing platforms
- Proven track record building API-centric systems using Python, Golang, or comparable languages
- Strong grasp of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including writing optimized queries and designing efficient schemas
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Familiarity with fintech or financial services domain
- Experience working in agile environments using Scrum or similar frameworks
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and reside within the U.S.
Technical Environment
Our stack includes Golang and Python for services, PostgreSQL via RDS for data storage, OpenSearch for search and analytics, and AWS services such as Lambda and Cognito. We use Docker for container management and follow modern DevOps practices.
