In this role, you'll design and implement core back-end services focused on payment processing and operations, directly influencing the reliability and performance of financial products used around the world.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of robust, high-availability back-end systems using Golang
- Drive ownership of complex engineering initiatives from concept through deployment
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve deep technical issues across distributed systems
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver customer-impacting features
- Contribute to a resilient financial infrastructure that supports global payment operations
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Golang and a track record of delivering production-grade systems
- Proven ability to independently lead projects and improve code quality
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to debugging complex environments
- Clear communication skills and experience working in collaborative engineering cultures
- Based in the US, UK, Spain, or Portugal
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with payment systems or financial infrastructure
- Experience with systems programming languages such as Rust
- Working knowledge of LLMs and experience with effective prompting, particularly with models like Claude
- Prior work in fintech or regulated financial environments
- Understanding of accounting principles or related systems
