About the Role

Fidelity is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Institutional Technology group in Galway. You will be part of an exciting new team designing, developing, and implementing high-performance, secure, and scalable applications to support the rollout of new Digital Asset financial instruments in the Institutional market.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a senior member of a scrum team responsible for delivering key customer features.
  • Work closely with product owners, scrum masters, systems analysts, architects, and other developers to design, build, test, and deliver features for Fidelity Institutional’s digital experience.
  • Deliver high quality, innovative, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Participate in architecture and application design.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Focus on the customer by demonstrating understanding of their business domain.
  • Continuously improve technical competency by demonstrating knowledge and application of current technologies.
  • Model Fidelity's values of Honesty & Integrity, Employee Respect, and Quality & Excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Information Technology related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software application design and development.
  • Object-oriented development experience, primarily with Java/J2EE, Spring/SpringBoot, REST Services, Cloud, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of test automation and test-driven development.

Nice to Have

  • Front-end experience with Angular or other TypeScript/JavaScript languages.
  • Experience or conceptual understanding of Blockchain.
