What You'll Do
- Develop and refine full-stack features rapidly using Scala and React, contributing to mission-critical fintech products within a microservices ecosystem.
- Make key architectural decisions that shape the reliability, scalability, and performance of distributed systems.
- Work in an agile environment where early contributions are expected, with the ability to deploy code within days of onboarding.
- Partner with product, data, and engineering teams to solve complex challenges and drive product evolution.
- Help advance Hopper’s B2B offerings by integrating with global travel partners through the HTS platform.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in distributed systems and software architecture that balances long-term maintainability with rapid iteration.
- Proven ability to operate independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and thrive in uncertain environments.
- Strong commitment to writing clean, testable code that performs efficiently at scale.
- Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams alongside product, data science, and frontend specialists.
- Prior hands-on experience with cloud platforms and scalable backend systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Scala, React, or related frontend and backend libraries.
- Background in the travel industry, eCommerce, or similar high-transaction domains.
- Exposure to UX design workflows and tools such as Figma.
Technical Stack
