As a founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning visionary ideas into working systems for Lovable’s most innovative customers. You’ll operate at the intersection of engineering, product development, and customer collaboration, helping define what this function becomes while directly shaping the evolution of the platform.
What You’ll Do
- Establish and lead a new engineering discipline focused on customer-driven innovation
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their workflows, challenges, and ambitions
- Design, architect, and ship end-to-end solutions that integrate with Lovable’s platform
- Build features informed by real-world usage and emerging patterns in AI adoption
- Translate field insights into improvements for the core product and technical roadmap
- Work across teams to influence strategy, architecture, and long-term technical decisions
- Develop repeatable processes, playbooks, and operational rhythms for future team growth
Who You Are
You have 5+ years of experience shipping full-stack applications and thrive in environments where ambiguity is high but impact is higher. You’re technically strong in both frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend (Golang, Rust), with a solid grasp of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Cloudflare).
You’re comfortable rapidly prototyping and iterating based on user feedback, and you bring sharp product judgment to every technical decision. You’ve either worked with LLMs or agentic AI systems before, or have deep curiosity and experience in emerging AI applications.
Prior experience launching zero-to-one products or working in early-stage startups gives you an edge. You value low-ego collaboration, move quickly, and care deeply about building systems that last.
