Garner Health is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will tackle complex technical problems analyzing billions of medical records to rank healthcare providers. In this role, you are expected to champion modern engineering practices and aggressively embrace AI across our operations.
What You'll Do
- Lead technical strategy and decision-making on assigned domains.
- Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain our software systems.
- Mentor and uplevel early-career engineers.
- Collaborate across disciplines to understand our domain and iterate on projects.
- Protect our users’ privacy and security through best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- A generalist software engineering mindset ready to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques required for a fast paced startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents (we use Claude Code).
- The ability to learn quickly and mentor others.
- Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance.
- A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback.

- Salary range: $175,000 - $215,000 + equity incentive plan eligibility.
