What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain backend services that power persistent online gameplay features

- Optimize database architectures and query performance for real-time transaction workloads
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, stable online functionality
- Research and integrate new technologies to improve system efficiency and product innovation
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of backend software development experience
- Strong command of C++ and object-oriented design principles
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python
- Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server
- Background in multithreaded programming and large-scale system stability
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
Preferred Experience
- Work with secure transaction systems, including virtual economies and account services
- Database performance tuning and connection management
- Familiarity with online gaming ecosystems and live-service design
- Console development experience

Compensation & Benefits
This role is open to candidates across the United States and British Columbia. Base salary ranges from $115,700 to $174,300 CAD, depending on location. Total compensation includes bonus and equity awards. Full medical, financial, and professional development benefits are provided.
