Role Overview
Lead the evolution of agile practices as a Senior Scrum Master within a forward-thinking biopharmaceutical organization. You will be instrumental in shaping how cross-functional teams deliver high-quality, AI-enhanced digital solutions in a regulated environment. Based in Cambridge, MA, you'll work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to strengthen agile adoption, improve team dynamics, and accelerate delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning with precision and purpose
- Coach teams and individuals in agile values, helping them grow toward self-organization and consistent high performance
- Guide product owners in backlog refinement, prioritization, and value-based planning
- Support and mentor junior Scrum Masters and agile practitioners across multiple teams
- Identify, track, and resolve impediments that impact team velocity and delivery predictability
- Lead problem-solving sessions to address systemic challenges across departments
- Use agile metrics—including velocity, cycle time, throughput, and burndown charts—to drive data-informed improvements
- Conduct meaningful retrospectives that result in measurable action items and continuous growth
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to enhance workflow, quality, and delivery consistency
- Advocate for agile principles across all levels of the organization, from teams to executives
- Coordinate dependencies and alignment across multiple agile teams using scaled frameworks
- Participate in program-level planning and contribute to the agile community of practice
- Support the implementation and adaptation of scaled agile models such as SAFe or LeSS
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication of progress, risks, and outcomes
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years as a Scrum Master, RTE, Agile Coach, or similar role
- At least 5 years leading multiple agile teams and driving transformation in large, cross-functional environments
- 5+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industries, particularly in laboratory or regulated settings
- Active certification in CSM, PSM, SAFe SPC, or ICP-ACC
- Strong grasp of software development lifecycles and delivery workflows
- Proven experience applying agile at scale in complex enterprise systems
- Demonstrated leadership in agile change initiatives
Preferred
- Familiarity with agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Miro
- Working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, and LeSS frameworks
- Experience in healthcare, pharma, or other regulated domains
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
- Experience facilitating remote or distributed teams
- Additional credentials such as PMI-ACP, ICP-ATF, or CTC
- Background in laboratory informatics systems like ELN, LIMS, or SDMS
- Track record delivering GxP-compliant pharma products and services

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $133,500.00 – $192,833.33. Employees may be eligible for equity and other incentives.
