About the Role
The role involves designing and executing test strategies to identify and resolve software defects early in the development cycle. The engineer will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure robust, scalable, and user-focused solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications
- Design comprehensive test plans based on product requirements
- Execute manual and automated test cases across multiple environments
- Identify, document, and track bugs using issue management tools
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects
- Participate in agile development cycles including sprint planning and reviews
- Ensure software meets functional and non-functional specifications
- Validate API endpoints and backend services for correctness and performance
- Conduct regression testing to prevent re-emergence of known issues
- Monitor test coverage and recommend improvements
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Evaluate user experience and report usability concerns
- Assess risks associated with new features and changes
- Support release readiness activities and pre-deployment checks
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing tools and methodologies
- Contribute to quality assurance standards and best practices
- Work with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements
- Verify localization and internationalization compliance
- Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities
- Assist in performance and load testing efforts
