Responsibilities
- Delivery Schedule & Timelines: Coordinating with Engineering and Product to build, document, and maintain discoverable timelines for the roadmap.
- Execution Status & Communication: Providing clear, consistent, and accurate communication on roadmap status, risks, and progress to all stakeholders.
- Resource & Capacity Planning: Developing staffing capacity projections and collaborating with leadership to ensure projects are appropriately resourced.
- Process Integrity: Ensuring time-boxed product discovery work is completed, design work is aligned with the roadmap, and SDLC handoffs are seamless.
- Group Performance Metrics: Collaborating with team leadership to track, aggregate, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Product Excellence: Contributing to a final product that is reliable, scalable, and a delight for our customers.
- Project Management: Manage a portfolio of interconnected software development projects, capturing dependencies and ensuring smooth execution across all initiatives.
- Roadmap Alignment: Own the coordination and planning for the execution of our product roadmap, working with the team to translate priorities into a clear, actionable plan.
- Performance Assessment: Continuously assess how well your projects are operating and accomplishing their stated business goals, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Process Implementation: Lead planning meetings and establish best practices tailored to our teams' change management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
- SDLC Coordination: Lead communication and meetings around critical SDLC handoff points between departments to ensure clarity and seamless transitions.
- Initiative Breakdown: Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Design to break down large initiatives into well-documented plans and tasks that can be integrated into a team’s planning process.
- Engineering, Design, Product KPIs: Collaborate directly with Engineering leadership to define, implement, and report on data-driven metrics and KPIs for engineering performance and delivery.
- Resource Planning: Lead the creation of resource and staffing capacity plans in close coordination with engineering and product management to ensure teams are effectively utilized.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central point of communication and influence for your projects, guiding cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, helping to foster a culture of successful project delivery and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of combined experience in project management, specifically managing portfolios of software development projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Have been part of the early stages of startup.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop project-level strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Sufficient, hands-on expertise in the full software development life cycle and multiple Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- A clear, concise, and proactive communicator with proven skills in stakeholder management and the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Experience defining, tracking, and reporting on KPIs and other performance metrics.
- A proactive and independent professional who can quickly onboard, assess complex situations, and begin driving value with minimal hand-holding.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Sheets.
- Hands-on experience with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
Nice to Have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) / Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- Direct experience managing or mentoring other project managers.
- Experience in a B2B or B2C SaaS company, especially in a high-growth startup.
- Knowledge of SOC2 type II, ISO 27001, PCI compliance or other regulatory frameworks.

Additional Information
- Salary Range: $120,000 - 150,000 + equity. Exact compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
